Students in each major should meet with their department advisor each semester to make sure that they are taking all the required courses for their major and to discuss the best possible studio and history electives for their course of study, career goals, and creative interests.

The Department of Art & Design offers a broad selection of courses abroad for students who wish to study studio art, art history, and photography during a semester abroad. Courses abroad are designed for specific semesters. Courses during fall, spring, summer semesters are offered in Rome, Paris, and Spain; courses during the winter and summer mini sessions are offered in a variety of locations throughout the world.
